Sometimes you'll face overwhelming odds, but as long as you work together, you'll both make it out alive. In split-screen or online, watching each other's back and coordinating inventory becomes even more important. When playing solo, you'll manage your AI partner and share inventory between characters. But 5 offers some fantastic cooperative elements that really make its gameplay sing. Where the story goes from there doesn't matter so much – all later Resident Evils suffer from bad writing.
